Energy Inspection
|
Inspection of home by employee of LaGrange Consulting. Fact sheets provided directly after inspection. Fact sheets show problems found at the home as well as detailed steps on how to solve the problems. Consultant walks homeowner through the problem areas and answers questions. No detailed narrative report provided.

Energy Audit (Detailed)
|
Inspection of project by employee of LaGrange Consulting. Notes and photos collected at the site. Detailed narrative report compiled and provided to the customer showing problems found at the home as well as detailed steps on how to solve the problems. This report is very lengthy and specific to the project and may take a couple of weeks to compile. **Further diagnostic testing may be necessary and/or recommended following the audit.

Blower Door Test
|
This test uses a large fan installed in an exterior door to measure the amount of air leakage that is pulled into the home through cracks and crevices that often go unnoticed. It can pinpoint places where you are losing conditioned air or pulling in humidity and dust.

Duct Leakage Test (Duct Blaster)*
|
This test uses a smaller fan that attaches to the duct system to determine how much leakage or the location of leakage in the duct system of a central HVAC system.

Manual J-load
|
Heating/Cooling load calculation per ACCA procedures… Calculates the need for conditioned air in each room of the house to overcome the heat and humidity load in each room. It takes into account insulation values, types of windows, heat-producing equipment and infiltration rates.

|

HERO (Home Energy Rebate Option) certification for existing homes only
|
This certification is required for customers to receive the HERO rebate from the state. It requires a test-in and test-out preocedure. This includes a specialized energy audit with testing before improvements are made, then recommendations for improvements are made, then a final audit and testing are done to ensure proper installation.
